DirectX 8.1 Support

billmccl Junior Member Join: Apr 2006 Posts: 12	DirectX 8.1 Support I have an application that uses DirectX, it installed fine on the current version of Win XP with all updates from Microsoft running on Parallels on my Mac Pro, but when I start the program it will not load, giving the message, "Failed to Create the DirectX device. Please make sure that your video-card and video-driver support DirectX 8.1" The obvious answer is that Parallels is not compatible with DirectX 8.1. Can this be made to work? My hardware is the Mac Pro, 2Mb ram, OSX 10.4.7, NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT w/256Mb VRAM video card. I am running Build 1884 of Parallels (which, btw, otherwise runs great on the Mac Pro).... Thanks....
