    Hi,
Im having some issues configuring parallels on my mandriva 2008 system.

basically parallels builds the modules correctly but when trying to insert the hypervisor module this fails.

Now I have the laptop kerenl source installed I think is 2.6.22 not at my machine now so cant check.

Are there any common issues that could cause this.

    Thanks

    Hello keyoke,

Could you give us some information to analyze the issue?

In Terminal run 'sudo parallels-config' command, right after that run 'dmesg | tail -n 20', then 'uname -a'. Please send us the output of the commands.

    Best regards,
    Xenos

keyoke, thank you for the output.
Your kernel refuses to accept your module because version magics do not match.
You should synchronize your kernel source tree and current kernel.
    This article will help you.

    Ok
I managed to solve this issue by Uninstalling the dev latest kernels and dev 2.6.22 then reinstalling just dev 2.6.22 kernel.
not sure why it work but I think it did recreate some missing symbolic links.
    cheers for the help
