    Hi,
I have Parallels in Mac OSX Lion running Windows XP as a guest.

The problem is that Windows XP always has the caps lock key enabled. And all keys displays in uppercase. This is really frustrating.

I have migrated the Windows XP guest using Parallels Transport, it was running Virtual Box in the same Mac. OSX and Windows XP are both in English localization.

I searched the KB and nothing.

    I already tried this fix:
    http://marketmix.com/de/blog/files/parallels-caps-lock.php
    Code:
sudo defaults write 'com.parallels.Parallels Desktop' 'HID Host Hook.CAPSLOCK Sync' -bool false
Windows XP, OSX and Parallels are all updated. So I wonder if this is a new issue or Parallels is planing a fix. It is really a let down when you buy the software to have a better experience and then you end up in this basic problem.

    Thanks
    Oliver

    At last! Solved!

My problem was that WinXP was setup to enable CAPSLOCK when the Shift key is pressed once. It seems that Parallels has setup the keyboard like this after the Transporter was used to migrate the VM. I have never setup the CAPSLOCK feature like that before, so I think is a problem with parallels 7.

After I enabled that the CAPSLOCK keyboard enabled the caps, the problem was solved.
