    Lads,
I'm really sick.. Every time when I'm doing parallels tools update I never know if it will work or not. I have paid for your software and I'm experiencing issues since Unity is out. I have to get my work / projects done and I can't waste my time googling for fixes.. It is your job !!! I'm runing 12.04 at work using VirtualBox on windows 7 and I never EVER had an issue with Unity at all.. Sorry but I'm really obsete. :-( I just spent another few hours trying to get my unity working instead working on my project.

    Peter.

It looks like they never check threads on their forums

    Same here.

As soon as I need to update or reinstall the Parallels Tools I lose Unity.

The last post on this thread resume my issue nicely:
    http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=210307

I am on Ubuntu 11.10 and few kernel update late (to avoid to trigger the updating of Parallels Tools).

Edit: Macbook pro early 2011 with Parallels Build 7.0.15098 (Revision 770637; June 13, 2012)

    Hi,
thank you for feedback, we do appreciate it!
To investigate the issue we need some technical information, so could you please reproduce it, send us Problem Report as described in http://kb.parallels.com/en/9058 and give me an ID?

    Thanks in advance,
    Hanna

This report was done with a working version of my Ubuntu 11.10 VM. I didn't reinstalled the Parallels Tools so the VM was working (Unity present, no screen problem)

I also get the following error message:
"Could not apply the stored configuration for monitors"
    http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=258711

Currently I am waiting for the Parallels Tools to support Ubuntu 12.04 and then I may do a clean install

    Thanks you.

I've struggled with this too, and on my system is turned out to be a problem with libGL.so. The tools installer had failed to install it correctly when upgrading the tools.
