Hi, Ever since I changed my Energy settings on my rMBP so that my computer doesn't sleep when the display goes to sleep, waking up the display causes Parallels to hang with a Beach Ball of Death. Unfortunately, it seems like a Kernel problem, as the entirety of OS X is no longer responsive. Not quite sure how to fix this. Cheers,
PD8/MAC OS hang on Win7/Ubuntu because of energy option Hi, Same problem here on my MBA 2012, Parallels 8 and Windows 7. Whenever the display goes to sleep I get the ball of death. OSX ML crashes and I have to reboot the system. The only workaround is setting the "display goes to sleep" option to a longer timeout. Using coherence mode everything seems to be fine. Christoph
Same here, with different guest OS. This happens to me also on my MBA 2012 with Intel HD 4000 Graphics, ML 10.8.2 12C53, Parallels Desktop 8 and Windows XP as guest OS. Parallels Desktop apparently does not know how to handle the OSX screensaver mode that powers down the LCD. Both host and guest freeze completely.
This is REALLY frustrating, and there seems to be another bug being surfaced after I reboot the machine. I'm not sure if this is due to Parallels kernel drivers, but when I get back to my login screen, my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are simply not working properly, and the only solution is to use the trackpad and keyboard on the Mac.
