fix for "current version of application could not be determined" Finally. I've been chasing this a couple of days. The exact problem is that I could not install nor uninstall parallels tools. I received a message stating "The current version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." This turned out to be an installshield issue rather than a parallels problem. To correct it do the following: From inside the virtual machine, rename your installshield folder to something like InstallShieldCrap - it is located at: c:\Program Files\Common\Installshield Now try again. It should work fine. |
