During the beta, I was able to scp information to virtual linux machines quite well (CentOs, specifically). Now, under release 3188, this capability seems somehow lost - the openssh process is running, but attemps to scp information continually fail with Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer lost connection I'm trying to scp from the same machine that the virtual process is running on, and have tried from other machines as well. I've also tried it with both bridged and shared networking, to no avail. Networking is working properly, and I can "scp user@mac /tovirtualmachine" - it's just the other direction that doesn't work.
Unfortunately no - it works like the connection is extremely slow and on an unreliable provider. Sometimes it gets as far as asking for the password and confirming the host signature (once it began transmitting) but most of the time it just croaks.
Try to reinstall Tools if you have not reinstalled them after PD upgrade. It is highly recommended to update Tools after each PD upgrade/downgrade. If that does not work - please roll back to previous build.
