I want to completely delete parallels 5 and the partition on my macbook pro and recover the space. If i remember correctly, I didn't use boot camp to partition the drive when I installed parallels 4 or 5 yrs ago. I've copied all the data files I need onto an external hard drive from the windows side in preparation, but now I have no idea what to do next. My plan is to purchase windows for mac once I recover the space from the partition. Would someone kindly direct me to the proper knowledge base article, or better yet, just post some instructions. Both the forum and the knowledge base are huge and confusing for me, and parallels no longer provides any type of support for version 5. So, like I said, I'm clueless and would very very much appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sonja,

We are here to help you.

To remove Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac completely from your Mac, please follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/6904
And if you want to delete your Virtual Machine as well, please locate the Virtual Machine : http://kb.parallels.com/117333 and move the Parallels Virtual Machine (.pvm) file to Trash and empty your Trash.
