Parallels the company is well known for spamming paying users of their products with unwanted ads and promotional deals. They make a good product but somehow can't help themselves from cluttering it up with such unwanted crap. Apparently in Parallels 10 they have dialed it up another level because now there's a link to "Install Antivirus" right in the Control Center for each VM. This link installs a trial version of Kaspersky. This is offensive, Parallels. If you really must, put that crap in a menu somewhere where I don't have to look at it! What I'd like to know now is how to get rid of the Install Antivirus option for my virtual machines. If someone knows the secret, I'd be much obliged.
I paid for their product and getting ads as well, pretty crappy if you ask me. A alternative solution is VMWare Fusion: No Ads! https://www.vmware.com/products/fusion
