Hello Parallels team. Before finalizing my purchase I was wondering... I was using the trial version of Parallels 9. Now that the license is expired, can I buy the student version and keep the same windows files i had while using the trial version? Still, can I buy Parallels from any place and keep the windows files or do I have to buy from the link the activation page gives me?
    Thanks for the support!

    Hi,
The virtual machine is completely separated from Parallels Desktop application.
It is a .pvm bundle with config files and the virtual machine's hard drive (.hdd file).
So basically to "open" the virtual machine and run it -> you need to have activated Parallels Desktop application.
So yes, you can purchase Parallels Desktop and use the same Windows virtual machine with all its content, as it won't be touched in any case.
