I have a mac running lion 10.8.2 with Parallels 7 running Win 7. I have an application running in windows that generates reports as doc. However when ever I select view report or print report I get this win message "This computer is not configured to accept "Open" command for ".doc" files." I have tried the program on a PC running Win 7 and everything is fine. I added office and that didnt help. I gone into default programs and associate files and .doc is set to open with Word as it would on a PC. Not sure if this is a Parallels thing or with windows 7 its running.
Yes but not sure it will work for you. In the application I was using there is a doc folder where the print request where saved. I then could open the Docs or move to Mac desktop and print. I don't think actually moving to Mac desktop is necessary.
