Why on earth does Parallels need access to my contacts?
"Parallels Desktop" would like to access your contacts.

Hello, could you please share with us a screenshot of the asking for access window?

Here is a screenshot of my preference panel that shows Parallels asked for permission to access my contacts. I don't know how I can get the initial prompt to show up again now that I denied it, I can't find a way to get macos to forget the setting.

Thanks a lot, usually Parallels Desktop asks for an access to macOS documents...
I found that apps asked for access to contacts just to get the current user's first name (from the user's "Me" card). The Open Directory database (the users/groups/authentication database) had a "Full Name" field, but it wasn't broken down by first and last name, so if an app wanted to use your first name for default names of things...like "Andy's VM"...it had to check contacts to find for sure where your first name ended and your last name began.
