Hi all, A couple of days ago I managed to install Ubuntu 7.10 with some help from the knowledge base. Everything has been going smooth except for a strange input problem: occasionally, mouse input will stop working. The cursor remains visible, but you get no mouse-over effects, and nothing happens when you click. At the same time, keyboard input will start to act weird. Holding down a key (e.g. to scroll) causes jerky motion, where 2 quick key presses will be detected, followed by a pause, followed by another 2 key presses, and so on. Often, keyboard and mouse input will stop working completely after a while (though Gnome shortcuts such as Ctrl-Alt-Right/Left for switching desktops keep working for some reason), and the mouse pointer will disappear on some desktops. Sometimes you can get input working again by doing some random things (using random Gnome keyboard shortcuts, right clicking, etc.), though once the problem has appeared it will usually reappear quickly. Has anyone had similar problems? Any ideas on how they could be fixed? Specs: Parallels Desktop, Build 5584 I have Parallels Tools for Linux installed. /Ulf
I wonder if your problem is related to this one: "Fedora Core 8 - no mouse click!" http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=19975 Best,
