    I'm running XP Home and Parallels 5584 on an iMac Intel.
    I tried to upgrade to Vista Home Premium, but got the following error:-
    'This computer is not compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard. Windows must be installed onto a computer that supports ACPI. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update or install Windows on an ACPI-compliant computer.;
    Can anyone help?
    Cheers.

    Please use "Prepare for Windows Vista Upgrade..." or at least set the OS to Vista before upgrading to Vista, this will enable ACPI support required for Vista.

    Thanks for your help.
    I did that, and the OS says it's Vista.
    I tried both Vista Home Premium and Business Upgrade versions.
    Both return the same ACPI message.
