It is absolutely necessary for my team to have read-only virtual hard disks.
    Virtual PC allowed it.
VMWare Fusion lets me do a trick with a read-only virtual disk and read/write Snapshot.

Is there some trick that allows me to run Fusion off a disk with 444 permissions?
Currently my only option is to create a read/write copy of some 5 GB virutal disk.
    Thanks!

    which OS?

most need to write back logs and stuff
with Windows you can enable this by limiting user permisiions

    OS: WIndows XP.
But with "Undo Disks" feature, Guest OS does not really end up writing anything to the virtual disk, right?
    Thanks!

    Hello,

Che_guevara, there are no options of this sort on Parallels side except for "Undo Disks".
You can try using Windows security politics to obtain the result you wish.

    Best regards,
