Is there any problem having both Parallels Desktop AND VMware fusion installed at the same time? I own both but I use Parallels for Windows XP since VMware has too many problems with it. However, I'm getting disgusted with Parallels horrible support for Linux, so I'd like to install VMware to run Hardy Heron with it.

I have not run into any issues having both installed. ifconfig may get a bit crowded, but things seem to generally work okay.

I find that if I run Parallels and Vmware at the same time, things get borked. I tend just to actively run one at a time. Having both installed is no problem.

    Hope that helps.

It used to be that if you simply installed them both there were conflicts. It sounds as if that is not longer the problem, just run one of them at a time, though.

Actually, I have been running them both at the same time, each in its own Leopard space and have not encountered any problems.
