As most of you know by now, a few hours ago, Mac released 10.5.4...

As a Parallels newbee, were there any problems with build 5584 when you updated your OS X in the past?

I am quite scared having problems since Parallels (5584) VW XP is currently smooth and problem-free with 10.5.3.

Would it be safe to go on with this new OS X update?

this is a good question. I had a big problem after installing 10.5.3. I'll wait until someone gives the green light.

mac pro updated to 10.5.4, latest parallels version.

shared networking setup (worked previously under 10.5.3) now shows limited/no connectivity.

fixed it by uninstalling parallels, then reinstalling. works fine now.

I have the same problem.. no internet connectivity... shared netowrking. Reinstalling also fixed the issue for me. Although I did not need to uninstall first.

    No Connectivity with 10.5.4

I also lost internet connectivity once I installed 10.5.4. Thank you, the above two, for your replies. I will try reinstall to see if that works.

Lockup when switching from Coherence to Single Window

On an alu iMac w/4GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD2600 graphics card, I've started seeing Parallels build 5608 lock up when switching from Coherence to Single Window mode since i upgraded to 10.5.4.

When I initiate the switch, the open Win programs group together as though they are moving into the Single Window, but the window's frame never forms around them. I get the beach ball, and that's it. Have to use Force Quit to exit.

Oh, and I'm running Vista Ultimate, with 1.5 GB dedicated to RAM.

Update: I didn't have this problem on my MacBook, which also is running build 5608 and 10.5.4.

On my iMac, I'm using dual displays. I turned off dual display support in Coherence and that seems to have fixed it. So the problem may be limited to dual displays.

Prior to upgrading to 10.5.4 I had no problems with a network connection at work. After upgrading a couple days ago I ussually cannot get a network connection. Mac side shows everything's ok with assigned DHCP address, but the Windows side show no connectivity. Somethimes will work after rebooting windows, sometime not. Sometimes works when I direct assign a wireless connection, sometimes not. Seems to die anytime I sleep the unit and go somethere else in the building, and I have to play around until I get lucky again...

    MacBook 2.4Ghz
    os 10.5.4
    Windows XP service pack 2
    Parallels Desktop 3, build 5584

    Cheers
