Vista sp1 upgrade freezes

Trying to upgrade from xp sp3 but always freezes at "setting up personlized settings for: windows desktop update."
Have osx 10.5.3, parallels 5603
any ideas?

try to disable Shared Profile in
Parallels Desktop -<Virtual Machine name>-Edit-Virtual Machine -Shared Profile

You can try this,
However I suggest you to install MacFuse from http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/
and perform disk repair on mac OS before doing it

 

I downloaded macfuse and have no idea what it is or how to use it. Thanks anyway.

 

Double click mpkg file and and follow instructions
(double click dmg first)

 

well, it installed but i can't find it.

 

It is ok, it is not software, proceed with disk repair

 

MacFUSE

MacFUSE is a system preference panel -- go to system preferences to find it.

 

There is only install and check for updates
