Has anyone gotten Daemon Tools working? I'm getting an "Invalid Device" error on version 4.03HE.

    Thanks,
    Ben

Why would you want to install Daemon tools in your guest VM?

You can easily mount an ISO from your host from the Devices menu. Just select CD/DVD-ROM1 and pick Connect Image, then select your ISO file. This is basically what Daemon tools lets you do in Windows, except that PD does it for you instead.

That's what I'd initially thought, too, but there are lots of CD image files that aren't ISO. Also, Daemon Tools can emulate copy-protection feature. PDM's implementation of CD/DVD-ROM emulation loses non-apparent data like copy-protection and CD-Text, even if you do put physical disc in your optical drive. While normal ISOs do fine with the default emulated drive, Daemon Tools can do a lot more. I can see why this guy wants to install it.

BTW, have you tried 3.47 version?

You got it, wesley! 3.47 works like a charm! The reason I had to use Daemon Tools was because I had a few backups in Nero's image format (.nrg)

    Thanks!
