I had deleted and moved around some OSs I installed as VMs *(Ubuntu, etc....) to clear off some space on my MBP running 10.5.4 Leopard. For some reason, after believing I deleted these OS's, it appears that the disk space was not released off of my hard drive. I went searching in the usual places /user/documents/Parallels... and didn't find anything. I tried using finder... nothing.

Is it possible that a OS that was meant to be deleted becomes hidden? Does anyone know terminal enough to help me find the files? I don't exactly know how to search for files > 1gb for example...

Anyone else have this problem and perhaps have a simple answer? I am not great using Terminal, but certainly not unable to do so....

I am missing about 15 gb of space on an already limited HD, so I'm grasping at straws...

    Thanks.

    I'll try it now... THANKS!

I appreciate the help... I am letting it load my folder contents now...

I hope I'm right about this...

I guess this seems to be a common problem judging from your recommendation...
