Virtualization Technology (VT-x) but it is currently disabled

    Open a VM brings up a dialog saying:
    "Your CPU supports Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) but it is currently disabled (locked by firmware). Virtual machine will be started without VT-x support (in software virtualization mode)."

    Apple firmware blocking VT-x Technology? Exists a workaround?

    I had this too, and it was "fixed" by rebooting.

    I believe the kext files are updated by the upgrade from RC1 to RC2 and if you start RC2 without rebooting, the RC1 kernel extensions are still loaded, and that is what gives the error.

    Went away wonce I rebooted. Perhaps Parallels could have an explicit reboot requireed after an upgrade as part of their installer...
