Hi,newbie question here.... I wanted to know if it was possible to share the internet connection of Windows xp (guest) with Leopard (10.5.2). I have a wireless usb dongle which I couldn't get to work with the mac drivers but works fine with the xp drivers. So far I tried to share the wireless conenction with the parallels network inside windows connection but it didn't work. I have it in host guest mode. In mac's network connection theres a parallels host guest connection, a parallels NAT conenction and an ethernet connection which are all green, but still no internet in mac. What settings should I use?

    1. Attach device to Virtual machine
    2. Install drivers, according to hardware manufacturer's recommendation
    3. on Mac OS side open System Preferences ->Network
    4. Edit settings for Parallels Host-Guest adapter as bellow:
    Configure: Manually
IP address: any in range 192.168.0.2-192.168.0.254
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Router: 192.168.0.1
    DNS server: 192.168.0.1
    Search Domains: leave empty

    5. In Windows navigate to Control Panel - Network Connections
    6. Right click on Network device which provides Internet Connection - select Properties
    7. Click Advanced tab
    8. Select Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection
    9. In Home Networking Connection by default Parallels Network Adapter is selected click OK
    10. You receive the following message:
When Internet Connection Sharing is enabled, your LAN adapter will be set to use IP
address 192.168.0.1. Your computer may lose connectivity with other computers on
your network. If these other computers have static IP addresses, it is a good idea to set them
to obtain their IP addresses automatically. Are you sure you want to enable Internet
    Connection Sharing?
    11. Click Yes.

Network Sharing Guest to host - me too...

I've tried this solution, but when I get to step 10, I get a Windows "Network Connections" error message that says... "A LAN Connection is already configured with the IP Address that is required for Automatic IP addressing."

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

    Thanks.

Oops. As I'm collecting these images, I realize that I'm actually stuck at step 8, not 10.

First, here's the configuration for the virtual machine...

And here's the System Preferences / Network setup for the Parallels Host-Guest adapter:

And here's the error message when I try to select "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection":

    Do these help?

Try to set TCP/IP settings for Parallels Network adapter to assign IP by DHCP, and try again

    Tried that...

OK, I tried it and I still get the error.

What should the Virtual Machine's "Network Adapter 1" be set to? Mine is set on "Shared Networking", and I've tried the "bridged ethernet" option also, with no success, but maybe I had something else wrong at the time.

I notice that in Shared Networking mode, from Windows I have to disable the Parallels Network Adapter connection, leaving only the AT&T Tilt connection in order to browse the internet. Do I have to do something to tell Windows that it's the AT&T Tilt connection that gets to the internet? Also, when the Parallels Network Adapter connection is enabled and set to DHCP, it gets a 10.x.x.x address. Is that OK?
