I had installed parallels desktop 3.0 in my mac 10.5.5X and windows was installed properly after I followed the instructions it was working fine, suddenly it stopped responding so i had to uninstall paralles desktop and with that the windows XP was removed when I reinstalled the parallels the first time it asked me for the key, everything was going alrite, while choosing the new OS i clicked on cancel and started rebooting the system from the VM by choosing CD it was setting up and then it would give me error saying that it failed to boot. After that I uninstalled and reinstalled the parallels desktip several times it would not ask me the key and the same thing would occur. I have a valid windows XP operating system.

Do you mean you cannot create new VM?

I could create VM but it was not booting windows properly, it is giving error and i have a valid version of windows, it was asking for a boot camp assistant partition although to install windows in parallels desktop you don't need bootcamp assistant
