I have a strange issue, but am not too sure if it is Parallels, Windows XP, or network.

I created Windows XP VM on my home network. An IP address was provided by my DHCP Server (in my case a router). Connected to the internet and did all of the usual Windows Updates. So far so good.

I went to work and launched the VM. Again an IP address was given (this time from one of our servers). However when I try and join the Domain at work and it says it cannot find the server, yet I can ping the Domain controller by IP and by name (meaning DNS is working).

Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem or have some ideas of how to resolve the issue?

    Cheers

Check your IP settings. Look at the DNS and WINS settings and make sure that they reflect your work network.

Are you using bridged or host only adaptor for networking? I found that joining a domain was not working until I went with Bridged networking
