Haven't taken the plunge yet (still not sure whether to stick with parallels)
Those who have upgraded how are you finding the CPU usage on the mac side?

In PD3, with most services stopped in XP and 99% idle I tend to get between 6-12% CPU usage shown in Activity Monitor. What should I expect from PD4?

    Thankies.

Anyone done any tests regarding this yet?

Parallels Desktop: ~0.5% (0.2-0.8%) CPU usage
    prl_vm_app: ~10% CPU usage

    MBP early 2008 2.4 4GB running PD4 WinXP SP3 bootcamp-VM with 1500MB RAM allocated, 2CPUs, adaptive hypervisor on

On two different computers, two markedly different results.

One machine, running XP absolutely smashes the CPU - almost always at 100%.

    On another, works a treat - around 10 - 20%.

On the machine that is good with XP, I have tried in stall Win98 - smashes the CPU (which I didn't expect). Turning on Adaptive Hypervisor didn't do anything that I could see.

Try this KB article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5810, if it hangs during the VM uprgade try pressing Ctrl+Cmd+Option+R to interrupt the process, then follow the steps from KB article
