I have managed to get the CD-ROM driver now I need a mouse driver. I am still wanting to play my favorite game ever. And no it does not run under 95 or 98.
I found DOSBOX last ight and works like a charm. now *##&%*#&%#)(*%()#*% !!!!! I wish I knew about it earlier. I could have been playing V4V for at least a year or more. Just to let you know . . . I have tried the Real PC driver and that froze up DOS. I have tried the Free DOS driver and nothing. I tried one from VPC4 and that was seen but crashed the program. The one I would like to try is the PC SETUP from Apple PC COMPATABILITY CARD software. In any case V for Victory (orginally a Macintosh only game) works on DOS BOX with the soud a little screwy.
I downloaded a shareware driver, with a very small memory footprint, called MOUSE701.ZIP. Simply unzip it and place the MSCMOUSE.SYS file in your C:\DOS folder and add the line "DEVICEHIGH=C:\DOS\MSCMOUSE.SYS" to your CONFIG.SYS. cheers!
