Hi, I have been struggling with installing PD 4 for near two weeks and it always failed at the end and got the same screen as here: http://img.skitch.com/20081111-q2igi28j59t6feakcde2awqp92.jpg I have checked the firewall settings and it accepts all connections. I reinstalled PD 3 and it works with no problem. I followed the instructions and removed all Parallels components several times: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5714, but still no luck. I have Mac Pro with Leopard. BTW, PD 4 has no problems with my MacBook Pro (Leopard). We just bought seven licenses and don't know what to do with them. I called Parallels and have had a ticket for near two weeks. Your help will be greatly appreciated. how the installation of PD 4 fails Basically, 1. PD 4 was downloaded from http://download.parallels.com/deskt...hotfix1/Parallels-Desktop-4.0.3540.209168.dmg 2. Double clicked the dmg file and started installation by clicking 'Install Parallels' icon following the installation steps 3. At the validation step a pop up window came up: http://img.skitch.com/20081111-q2igi28j59t6feakcde2awqp92.jpg 4. Clicked 'Show Error' on the pop up window and nothing showed up 5. Clicked 'Quit' on the pop up window and my Mac rebooted 6. Clicked 'Parallels Desktop' icon in the /Applications and nothing started 7. I'm having the exact same issue on an iMac core2duo 2.16GHz, os x 10.5.5, no previous installation of Parallels.
