fusefs error starting Vista/bootcamp in PD 4.0

Parallels build 4.0.3540 ( November 22, 2008 )

I'm running Vista installed on a bootcamp partition.

When I start the VM I get the following error:

System extension cannot be used

The system extension "/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update.

Any ideas?

Try following steps:
1. Permissions repair
2. Disable antivirus on Mac OS
3. Reinstall Mac Fuse from http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/

 

Already done. Still the same error.

What is the size for /Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext

Also software like Tech Tools may prevent thsi to load
and please submit report from Parallels Desktop - Help menu -selecting Report a Problem, and post here report ID

 

I am having the same problem described above. Any solutions?

 

same here, just started after upgrade to 10.6. oh well...
