Mac OS X 10.5.5 Parallels 4.0 build Is there a way to sort (or change) the order of the machines that show up in the "Parallels Virtual Machines" window (you get this when you hit CMD-1). And... This "window" should be named "Virtual Machines Directory" to match the command you invoke to see it. I'm going to open that one with support... Steve
It's possible to rearrange virtual machines by removing/adding them -- choose a virtual machine, click File-> Remove-> Remove from the list or File -> Open -> choose needed virtual machine
So I assume from your rather careful wording that theres no way to insert machines into a specific place in the list without deleting everything after the place I wanted it inserted. And if I only want to swap a couple machines, I have to delete, manually reorder, and manually reinsert them. Can you please open an enhancement request to make the list useable? Steve
Hello Steve, Thank you for suggestion. We have reported this request to our development team, and they will consider implementing it.
Right now you can change order by editing file /Library/Preferences/Parallels/vmdirectorylist.desktop.xml Just change sections in xml file
