In version 3.0 I was able to configure Parallels to shut down automatically when my VM closed. I cannot seem to get it to do that now in version 4.0. Is there anyway to turn that back on. I have "close window on shutdown" selected, but it does not close the Parallels application. Thanks.

There isn't, only the ability to close the VM window, but Parallels Desktop.app will still be running, and that's why I filled a feature request for this precisely.

I'm glad its not just me not being able to find the feature. I don't know why they eliminated this in the new version. I hate having applications open when they are no longer being used.

Perhaps people couldn't figure out how to modify the VM configurations when the app was set to auto launch a VM, and then auto shutdown on VM close. Maybe the app was "dumbed down" to keep people from complaining that they could no longer modify their configurations.

I think that's exactly the reason it keeps the .app running, and I don't mind that that is the default behavior as long there's an option to automatically quit when the last window/VM is closed/shut down.
