    Running Parallels 4.0.3540

When I suspend an XP SP2 instance from Leopard 10.5.5, I then quit parallels, when I restart parallels and then resume the instance, the shared folders break.

It asks me to login to the .psf with a username/password, which does not work.

Is anyone else having this problem and if so how do I fix it?

Rebooting instance fixing the problem, but this means I can never suspend my instance.

I have exactly the same issue. How can I be aware of the workaround (if any)? Should I submit another ticket?

Thanks John -- sounds like my issue wasn't isolated to just my instance. If you need more information from me on this reproducable error please let me know.

    Regards,

    Ed

I just installed the new update (3810) and verified, that this problem is still there. For details see my report 19908.

When can we expect to have this really annoying bug fixed?

    Thanks

I have done as instructed - reinstalled parallels tools and switched off Kaspersky (Parallels version) security suite. Problem persists. I have submitted problem report 28798.
By now I beg for solution... Please!

    Update

I've submitted problem report with ID 42081.

After latest update to 4.0.3810 I recreated the same problem. Still unable to suspend and then resume without losing access to shared folders.

Can you inform on next steps.

I have got three e-mails from Parallels support with instructions how to fix the problem during last week, but none of them did any good. One can be described as uninstall Parallels tools and reinstall them, the other was basically kill Parallels while running VM, reboot Mac, and restart all again. The logic of this one is not clear to me. None of the suggestions actually solved anything. I hope to hear from them again.
