Still cannot suspend my WIN98 using GA. I did re-install parallels tools. It's gets farther than it did before, but I get a crash upon trying to resume. Any ideas? Was this supposed to be fixed in GA or not? Otherwise works great! THANKs SO MUCH!!!! John B
I believe there's a bug in the memory allocation code in Parallels, see http://forum.parallels.com/thread2698.html, which is elicited when the VM is suspended/resumed. Hopefully some developer will be able to reproduce the bug based on what's written there (if they read it...). In the meantime, reducing the VM's RAM-size made it more stable for me.
I have Parallels for Desktop on a MacBook with Win98SE installed and it does suspend and restart just fine. I am using the final release version of Parallels, installed after I uninstalled the RC6 version and then installed the newly released final version of Parallels for Desktop.
Hmmmm I am also using WIN98SE....wonder why I'm having issues..... How much RAM is allocated to your WIN98SE? John
Still no joy Reduce memory for Win98 to 256MB.....it will get through "suspending" but still crashes when trying to restore from the suspended file. FYI, a Fedora suspend works just fine for me...... John B
