If I open Parallels preferences pannel and configure modality view, it works while the pannel is open. But, when I click 'OK' and close it, VM window reverts to opaque mode. Why? Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. I just upgraded from 3.0 yesterday. When the configuration window is open the slider changes the opacity but once I close the configuration window the guest OS window goes back to full opaque. Marvin
Hello, The sense of Modality mode is that you see your virtual machine transparent while you are running some Mac applications. When the machine's window is active - it is full opaque. Now, just click on some Mac window to make it active and you will still see the machine, but as transparent as you have configured. So, to sum up - Modality window becomes transparent when it is inactive (btw, that's exactly what happens when Configuration is opened)
Please add windows transparent mode. Imagine use is working on windows, and want check whats up nder osx, really be great if can turn all full screen windows to transparent mode. This are really great features: 1- user cna turn MS windows in full screen to transparent 2-under transparent user should continue using windows. 3- user cnas eeletc how much transparency want. : ) realy usefull...
I've got the opposite problem When I switch to Modality mode, all of my machine windows go away and I can only see Mac windows. When I'm in coherence mode everything works great, but if I switch to modality, my machine windows go away. It doesn't seem to matter if I set it all the way to Opaque or to transparent. Keith
Figured it out I figured out what the problem is where my machine windows didn't show when in modality mode. It was because the window was displaying on my second monitor, but my second monitor wasn't connected and I couldn't see the window. I just tried it with my second monitor connected and it seemed to work. Very well I might add.
