I'm running Parallels 4.0 on my MacBook Pro that has an Intel Core 2 Duo and I was wondering if I should select 2 CPU's in the Virtual Machine settings to leverage both cores and increase performance.

    Running Windows Vista 32-bit...

I searched this forum for this questions, and I couldn't find anything.

    Please advise.

Giving two cores in a two core CPU to the VM will make OS X performance sluggish (the power you're giving to the VM you're taking from OS X) and can in turn affect the performance of Parallels, it usually works best to leave at least one core for OS X.
