I am running Parallels on my Mac and today I made a big mistake. I moved a folder called Parallels that was stored inside my documents folder on my Mac and moved it into a new folder. Upon doing so I am now asked to insert the Vista disk and put in the product key when I try to start Parallels. I have moved the file back to my documents folder and I am now looking for the quickest and best way to get things up and running like they used to. Ideally i would like some way to restore my system to the way it was before, rather than having to reinstall everything and losing all the settings inside Vista. Thanks! Craig
You moved the folder back to its original place. Now start Parallels (from Applications>Parallels desktop.app), if it starts with a wizard for a new installation, cancel it. Then select File>Open and navigate to where the *.pvm file (its actually a folder/package) is, select it. If it does not start with a wizard but starts with a window that lists all VMs then it's all fine.
