I recently upgraded to Parallels 4 (to take advantage of the Windows 7 support) and, having done so, seem to have broken X Server graphics on all of my Linux installations except for Fedora 8. gOS, Debian, and Ubuntu have all stopped displaying the GUI, and instead run only in a command-line form. Another issue (Which existed in Parallels 3 as well) is that networking, while it works in Windows and gOS (gOS before the GUI stopped working), does not seem to work in any of the other distributions. Any hope of help? More details: Parallels 4.0 build 4.0.3810 (30 Dec 2008) Windows XP SP2/Windows 7 Beta Debian 4.0 Fedora 8 Ubuntu 6.06.1 gOS (Ubuntu 7.10 GoS tty2)
One issue down: it appears the networking problems has been fixed. (In case anyone finds this thread in the future, the solution is here) Still no luck on the lack of GUI however...
Ah. I forgot to post that I did upgrade parallels tools in them, and that fixed all but one of them (Debian errored when trying to download the additional kernel and thus failed to upgrade). They are back to normal. The Debian probably just has a network issue, but needs to be upgraded anyway. Thank you for your help!
