    Hello Folks,

Someone told me they can run (multiple versions of Internet Explorer) IE6, IE7, and IE8 at the same time
    with VMware Fusion 2.

Is there a way to do this with Parallels Desktop 4?

Thank you in advance for your response!

    Yes,

The same way you do it in VMWARE.

You configure 3 different windows XP session (though you could use WIN2000 for IE6) and run them in coherence mode on your mac at the same time.

Of course you need enough memory on your machine to run the 3 virtual machines at the same time.

    Will this work with Vista?

    Thanks for the reply!

Another quick question if I may:
To configure 3 different windows Vista sessions, do I need to install Vista 3 times?

Yes you would need to install 3 different VM machines. This is why I would suggest you go with win2000 for IE6 and XP for IE7 because they have a smaller memory and disk footprint, and need less resources then Vista.

However I do not think Vista supports IE6, you will have to find an older version of OS for IE6.

I agree. The problem that I have is that Windows XP is hard to find. Any ideas on where to buy it?

Hum...Wouldn't know, I'm using the version which came with my MSDN package.

I guess you could find an OEM package at some small street corner reseller.

Only install one time and then clone the machines. DUH!

It all depends if you install with the same os.

In my case, win2000 was running IE6, XP is running IE7, and I haven't bothered with IE8 yet. So I can't clone :)
