In response to the thread that asks for a "Classic-like" operation.

Would it be possible to modify Parallels Workstation and/or the guest video driver to make the desktop tranparent? In addition, clicking on the transparent desktop would switch to the MacOS window behind it. Is it possible at all?

This would be awesome. I would love to have this feature, especially in full screen mode. I don't know if it's easy or even possible, but it would be super cool.

I would vote for this also, it would make the experience of windows much nicer

How would you distinguish clicking on the windows desktop to do something there vs. wanting to switch to the OS X window behind it?

    Awesome Idea

well what it would do is enable the windows taskbar at the bottom to remain full screen and leave the aqua desktop as the primary desktop.

So the only way XP would be able to be activated would be by launching from the taskbar - or select an active windows application window

this would allow a seamless interaction between parallels and OS X
