    Hi all -

Im working on some code in linux that requires me to be able to use the fb device directly. Unfortunately i cant seem to get this to work. Is this just down to the distro im running or is it a more fundamental problem like Parallels doesnt support fb?

This thread seems to indicate i should be able to get it working:

    Thoughts ...ideas?

Parallels emulates videocard with VESA 3.0 extensions. So, if your distro supports that kind of video - all will be fine and there will be no any problems.

I tried SuSE 9.1 default console with fbtruetype and all works fine.

right - i managed to get it working actually. the only trouble i have now is getting directfb working which should work with a vesa fb driver but is telling me it finds an unsupported pixel format.

    oh the joy.

    thanks for the quick reply
