I once had the two extra IDE disks in my Guest Solaris 10 OS.
I removed the two and added two of different size. Prior size was 256MB, now each are 8192MB.
Solaris can not access the two disks anymore. Getting:
    WARNING: /pci@0,0/pci-ide@1f,1/ide@1 (ata1)
    timeout: abourt device, target=1 lun=0
    ..
Error for command 'read sector' Error Level
    ...
Cannot identify UART chip at 3f8

I did do a # devfsadm -Cv after removing the older vdisks, then a devfsadm after adding the two
    new vdisks.

    Any thoughts?

As far as I am aware this is a bug in Parallels. Parallels doesn't support multiple disks with Solaris.
