I'm running the latest version of Parallels on a new MacBook Pro. Has anyone had success getting Linux to display 1440x900? I manually edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf modes to make this the default rez but not matter what distro I try, I can only get 800x600.

If you have been able to get something other than 800x600, please post your xorg.conf here.

    Thanks!!

This has already been answered several times.

I believe I remember some people posting diffrent config files for diffrent distros as well. Specifically ubuntu comes to mind.

I would use the search button below the forums.

heh, I already searched several times and didn't find an answer that worked. Also used google and and mac forums. But thanks for your helpful reply.

    Here's my .conf file

I'm been using 1440x900 resolution on my MacBook Pro with Linux and it works great. I'm using a Mepis beta, which is, I believe, an Ubuntu distro. Anyway, if it helps, here's my .conf file. The only things I changed are places where you see the 1440x900 resolution specified in the file.
