Now that apple was nice enough to lower the price a little, I figured I could justify the expense (1k) to help my OLD eyes.

I forgot that I can have the external monitor EXTEND the desktop so when I do the following:

1). Use Pref / Display to make sure the screens are NEXT to each other
2). Run your guest O/S and move it to the EXTERNAL Monitor
3). Press ALT - ENTER to switch to full screen and you get:
    A). Guest O/S FULL Screen 1900 x 1000 (I have 15" MBP driving this)
B). Laptop screen is OSX with Parallels in Dock only so I have full screen

Now moving my mouse I can move between High res windows screen I require for programming and OS/X where I live / email / surf.

    I LOVE IT.

If you like the 23", you ought to see it on the 30"

Wow, that gives me all kinds of ideas. Now that the Mac Pro has been released, you can have two monitors, one running OS X natively and the other running XP in Parallels fullscreen. Very nice, thank you for the tip!

That's what I do with my iMac and a 20 inch external monitor. Works beautifully.
