Problem with installing Parallels Tools in new Beta 1862

I can`t update the Parallels Tools in the new Beta 1862. I get this fatal error message:

I even get the same message when I try to unsinstall the old Parallels Tools from the last official version of Parallels Desktop.

BTW, the german sentence below means: The system couldn`t find the mentioned file.

Can anybody help me please?

 

I just installed the tools and now XP keeps crashing a few seconds after it boots.

 

It probably has something to do with a mounted USB flash drive that was a parallels shared folder. After I removed it, it seems to finish the booting without a crash for a few minutes now.

 

I cannot install Parallels tools either but it does not even try.

I got to VM Menu, select install Parallels Tools click on it and NOTHING, nada, zero reaction.

If I look again it has changed to cancel installing Parallels Tools but nothing seems to be happening in/on the VM.

PLEASE, does anyone have any ideas?

My integration with Virtue is completely broken. I can no longer switch between desktops whilst still in full screen mode. I have enabled access for assistive devices in the system preferences pane also. Please somebody help out!

 

Everything works fine with me... did you re-boot after install?

Yes. I still get the fatal error message when I try to install the new Parallels Tools in Beta 1862.

I also get this message when trying to uninstall the old Parallels Tools in the new Beta 1862 or after reinstalling the last official release 1848.

what is a stripped down version? I bought a boxed version of XP professional and installed that.

 

Do you have in configuration Cd-Rom device? Or autorun Cd is off? You may try to manually install parallels Tools from .iso file /Library/Parallels/Tools/vmtools.iso.

I solved the problem - but I had to name it "RunOnce" instead of "Run" because "Run" existed already and "RunOnce" was mentioned in the fatal error message.

Now it works. I could install the new Paralles Tools.

BTW, I also have an official XP Home edition and nothing from the net.

I just edited my last post so don`t get confused about the old quote above.
"RunOnceEx" doesn`t need to be erased.

Manually attached the iso file, installed the updates and now working much better but I still cannot figure out why it would not work from the menu.
