I keep getting a message telling me that XP is running low on Virtual memory.

    I don't know why.

I have a 2 GB iMac, with 1 GB dedicated to my VM. I checked the remaining size of the 'C' drive and there is over 3 GB of space left on it (which I keep optimized).

Does anyone know why I would be getting this message?

All I have open is two windows of IE, and a softphone, and Outlook. Nothing else is running.

I had the same issue on my macMini. I made the VM a static size, rather than expanding and that seemed to make the virtual memory message stop.

Do you use system managed or custom?
    What AV do you have?

I have a static size drive. I use to have an expanding one, but then I found that the static drives make Parallels work faster.

Hi the Low Virtual Memory has nothing to do with the size of the drive.
Just go to ControlPanel->System->Advanced->Performance->Settings->Advanced->VirtualMemory->Change and check the sizes for the Virtual Memory. If it is set on Custom Size change it according to your need or set "System Managed Size".

After Rebooting the Low Memory Error Message should disappear.
