I'm typing this on a Mac Pro with a working install of parallels and xp sp2. So they didn't completely lie about supporting mac pros. It still needs work, but it's not unusable for short stints in XP.

bottom line: if you make money on windows or non-universal binary applications, and you have a machine that works, DO NOT buy a Mac Pro just yet.

I found that when I removed the two 512mb ram chips I could get XP to install with no Kernel panics at all. Then, once it was installed I popped the two chips back in and so far so good - no Kernel panics.
