Can parallels software break my mac? Hi I had a strange problem with parallels RC2 update on my new Imac C2D (17 days old) .... I was working with parallels...Then it is possible that I tried to startup parallels again (by a mistake)...I am not sure...Then a second copy of parallels was starting...A second later...my Mac appeared with a vertical green line on screen... I restarted again, reinstalled all the system again, but the vertical green line was there...My mac was broken...but I dont know why..I got the mac to an AppleCenter...and they are going to give me a new Mac...(when they have Imacs in stock)... Can the problem be caused by parallels? I think the answer is no...but this was incredible jpeinado
A vertical green line on the display is caused by a failure on one the the controller chips for your display. There is no piece of software that I know of that could do that.
Surely just a coincidence. Think about it this way; no matter when you have a hardware failure, you're going to be running *some* software. Hope you get a replacement soon.
Hi Again: All of you are right...Thank you for your help....I know that is strange and it is a coincidence. I think as all of you jpeinado
