When will upgrading to Vista be supported?

    Simple question --- when will upgrading an XP image to Vista be supported? Is this within the next major release, or not for a bit down the road?

    I dealt with this problem myself. It's actually not that hard.

    Run the XP hdd image in a Vista VM. Reinstall XP over the old install, and it will include an ACPI hal. (check in device manager.) Then run the vista upgrader.
