    Hi all,

I have successfully installed Ubuntu 6.06 on my MacBook and it works great so far.

The only annoyance I still have is with switching screen resolution. I use both the internal display at 1280x800 and an external display with a resolution of 1280x1024 on a daily basis and so far I haven't been able to make resolution switching as easy as it should.

I have managed to get both resolutions showing in the Screen Resolution dialog of Ubuntu but nothing actually happens when I choose any of them.

Instead I have to run the 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg' command and reboot every time I change monitor. Sometimes not even this will work and Ubuntu will log me in and immediately throw me out again, forcing me to use 'ctrl-alt-F1' for terminal login and run the reconfigure command again.

If somebody have any insights to this I would be most thankful...
