I dontr have/use/need Garmin products. Webcam support is far more important to me, then I can use MSM with my family abroad.

    :)

    2 sides to every "need"

Why are people so bent up about the need for iSight drivers? Apple's already released iSight drivers- the ones included on the BootCamp burn CD. I've even used the drivers from bootcamp to take pics of receipts for use in Quicken 2007. So of course drivers exist.

Since Apple is so fond of Parallels (look at how many apple websites suggest people get Parallels for virtualization), I suggest the Parallels team contact the Apple team responsible for the BootCamp drivers. Either that or hack the drivers so they work in Parallels.

    Absolutely iSight

I agree that it is essential that Parallels support built-in iSight. It is one teriffic advantage of Boot Camp that the new drivers enable this feature. I have a feeling that they plan to do it since it is already a menu choice under USB devices under the VM menu.

I don't even use my built-in iSight in OS X, so I'm not going to use it in Windows or Linux either.

iSight Driver for Windows XP SP2 Parallels

    Hi everyone,

I've just completed the iSight Driver for Windows XP SP2, for use with Parallels Desktop. It is fully tested and working, tried in Windows Live Messenger (aka MSN) and all other popular applications.

    Simply download from: http://www.filehosting.cc/?d=0A2C9D0A4
    The password is: unlock

    Then extract and run Parallels
    Choose Devices > USB > Built-In iSight
Then point the installation to the extracted driver file

    Bye for now,
    TechToby.

I use iSight with Parallels. Skype for Windows video works well with it. There is a downloadable .EXE somewhere on this Board that you install drivers from in your WinXP VM. It works well.

I think it's called "Mac Drivers For Windows.EXE" (or something close to that).

Anyone who wants to respond to this thread should first note that it's from year 2006, long before the 3186/3188 builds.

I use iSight with Vista Ultimate and Windows Messenger Live. I downloaded and installed the Bootcamp 1.2 Beta iSight driver and that did the trick. I also use iSight with Windows XP.

Instruction on how to do that is in this forum somewhere.
