    All:

Microsoft just released Photosynth, a photo collection 3D package

    at

    http://labs.live.com/photosynth

It installs in the latest version of Parallels on Mac/Intel, but after installation gets
an "unsupported graphics card" dialog box.

Any possibility of the Parallels driver(s) getting updated?

It probably uses DirectX, considering that it is graphics related and released my MS.

Parallels has stated that the earliest that they could support 3D acceleration would be the next major release. I wouldn't hold my breath though: VMware has been trying to get this working for years with no success. Video cards simply are not designed to be talked to by 2 OSs at once.

    DirectX w/Photosynth

Yes, Photosynth DEFINITELY uses DirectX (Direct3D, in fact).

So hopefully Parallels can solve this in a future release.

For me it is *not* critical, but I was curious. Hopefully this entry in the forum will help someone else who's trying to use Photosynth (that's the point of these forums --- user communications --- right?)
